The Finnish news from the Swedish television were here and we talked about what it is like to be an artist these days and that it is easier to be a jewellery designer than a “traditional artist” who paints or does more conceptual work.
We talked about the jewellery collection I made for Studio Minerva jewellery and how one should navigate the often harsh conditions of beeing an artist.
Exciting news! I am launching a small jewellery collection with Studio Minerva!
The Salla V for Studio Minerva – collection will consist of jewellery made by hand here in Sweden and all the items will be of a very limited edition. The materials will be a mix of new and old, ranging from beads and pearls and elements that I´ve collected on my travels, to new materials and parts from old jewellery that I new recycle.

Spring Beast är det största graffiti/ street-art eventet i norra Europa. Under 4 dagar kommer ca. 3000 kvm av Snösätras väggar målas om av de främsta inom den urbana konstscenen i Sverige, men även av internationella artister.

My embroidery “Brev från svenska folket” (Letter from the swedish people) is participating in the exhibition Postal Art at Postmuseum in Gamla Stan Stockholm. The exhibition opens 30 november 2018 and continues until 5/1-2020

The newspaper Smålandsposten visited me in Lammhult and wrote an article about it. Among other things they mention my participation in the upcoming Artworks4change auction. The money from the auction will go to Plan Sverige and their work against female genital mutilation.
I got a really nice commission the other week from Sony Music. They wanted me to make my own interpretation of the cover to Paul Kalkenbrenners new release Parts of Life! You can view some “in the making” photos on my blog.
